Event nights are designed to create a safe space where moms can connect with Single MOMM staff and with each other; take a break from every-day life, be fed, encouraged and celebrated for who they are.

Event Nights provide a few hours where overwhelmed, tired, and alone doesn't exist. When moms walk in the door, they are met with the message "You're off Duty" and "You Belong Here."

Our "You're Off Duty" team consists of hundreds of volunteers from all over the Grand Traverse area. Business owners, pastors, church small groups, and families, all come together to prepare a space for and serve single mom families through nine events a year.

The Single MOMM Café is open to any single mom during our normal office hours. Free coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and chocolate is always available along with a space to read a book, meet with friends, use our printer, send a fax, or jump on the free wifi. In the months where the sun struggles to shine you will even find a space to sit with a hot cup of liquid and soak in the rays from our “happy light”.

If you are looking for more than a place to feel welcomed and hangout make an appointment to meet with one of our mentors. A mentor is someone who wants to be in your corner, to laugh with you and cry with you, to advocate for you, rejoice and feel your pain. Single MOMM mentoring begins with your story and focuses on topics ranging from setting personal boundaries to finances, parenting to creating personal growth goals, vocational exploration to co-parenting issues.

The reVIVE Course is a 13-week program developed by Founder & Executive Director of Single MOMM, Jennifer Finnegan Pool to assist single moms in exploring who they are, what has gotten them stuck, and how to take courageous steps forward.

Any single mom ages 18-118 can chart a bold and new direction for her and her family through reVIVE, and she doesn’t have to do it alone. Joining reVIVE will put her in a small group setting with other single moms that understand the ins and outs of single motherhood.

Created to help organize the specifics of your legal needs while telling your story; you can be confident in your story without needing to relive your experiences each time you are asked to tell it. The No More Crazy™ binder organizes all of your paperwork in one place where it is easily accessible and understandable saving time, money and emotional pain.

Resource Networking

Single MOMM focuses on bringing tangible support to single moms and their kids through organizational, professional, and church partnerships. To find out more about community resources, make an appointment to meet with one of our mentors.

Practical Needs Help

Is there something around the house that needs repair, a vehicle that needs maintenance, or just another set of hands to help through a season that seems overwhelming? We have people for that! We utilize area churches and individuals to provide practical needs help for single mom families who connect with Single MOMM mentorship, at monthly Event Nights, or through The reVIVE Course.

Residential Program

Currently Single MOMM is piloting a 2-year residential program that focuses on financial and emotional healing for single mom families.

At Single MOMM, we are creating safe spaces, engaging the stories of single moms, and then empowering them to integrate into everyday life with strength, joy, and confidence. Through our mentorship program, The reVIVE Course™, and our Event Nights we provide the resources needed to help you positively impact the single moms in your community.

To explore using our materials in your community we hold a one day training titled - be the good coffee™. This training will equip you to establish a community for single moms to flourish in, assist you with engaging the stories of these moms in a healthy and helpful way, and lead you through the importance of being trauma informed, story based, and biblically centered in your desire to help single moms. The training is for those currently working with single moms, intending to work with single moms, or desiring a better understanding of the lives of single moms and how you can help.
