SINGLE MOMM 2022/2023 ANNUAL REPORT

(use left and right arrows to scroll through booklet images)

In 2022/2023, we had the blessing of serving 1,906 families living in the Greater Grand Traverse area and neighboring bedroom communities.

Many single moms are in dire need of affordable housing, quality child care, and vocations conducive to parenting solo. These needs often make it necessary for women to live in the rural areas surrounding Grand Traverse County and commute long distances for work. Effective support for these families must include services both in the heart of Traverse City and the surrounding counties. Scroll down to learn more about how we are expanding into the rural areas.

To continue to reach these families and the many more needing our services, we need the continued support of our churches, businesses, families, and individuals.

2022/2023 ANNUAL REPORT NUMBERS:

With the cost of living increasing, fuel and transportation has become harder to afford and has made it impossible for many rural families to drive into Grand Traverse to participate in our services. In response to this overwhelming need, Single MOMM launched a rural expansion initiative in 2021.

Through the generosity of The Carl Lemcool Foundation and private donors we obtained a 28-foot classroom on wheels and refurbished it into a mini-Single MOMM office. This mobile office is now serving Wexford and Missaukee Counties with our Mentorship 360 program, Acquire Classes, reVIVE Course, and resource networking for single mom families. Karin Stevens, our Area Director, is leading the expansion of this first mobile office. By the spring of 2023, our goal is to have a Local Director hired for these counties.

Impact 100 TC awarded Single MOMM a transformational grant in the amount of $112,000 which will fund the rural expansion to Benzie and Leelanau Counties. In the fall of 2023, Single MOMM intends to begin program development in these counties.
